Astrophytum is a genus much sought after by fans.

The habitat of these plants are grassy valleys and slopes.

Cultivation

The cultivation of the genus Astrophtytum does not pose any major problem except the species asterias showing increased sensitivity to residual moisture. Maximum light and ventilation will be fine.

Total dry winter and a temperature of about 7 C° are a good compromise.
