The genus Copiapoa comprises approximately + / - 40 espèces. The geographical distribution of the genus is Chile along the coastal strip and on the stony slopes of the Andes.
They grow there in extreme conditions, they form huge clumps or occasionally solitary splendid specimens sometimes of + 1 m high.
CULTIVATION: The Copiapoa is a slow-growing cactus, it requires a very porous potting soil and water distributions not too abundant and very good ventilation ....... it appreciate some heat in winter + / - 10 degrees and a total drought ........
